Veronica Perez-Kahl, LCSW
Therapist & CEO
I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. I have 9 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatric hospital, crisis intervention, mobile crisis assessments, outpatient, the Clark County School District (CCSD), and now in private practice. I have provided administrative and clinical supervision to UNLV practicum students, CSW-interns, and licensed colleagues to enhance their knowledge base. I work with children (ages 5-12 y/o), youth, adults, couples, families and maintain an affirming stance for individuals who identify as members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
My specializations include, but are not limited to treatment of adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, divorce, mood disorders, schizophrenia, trauma, and more. My passion for learning led me to return to school and currently working on a doctorate degree with emphasis in clinical psychology. I am invested in always seeking additional clinical skills to add to my toolbox to help all my clients. What differentiates me from other clinicians in the Vegas valley is that I have an innate ability to establish rapport, build trust, provide genuine compassion, empathetic listener and relate to individuals from all different walks of life.
I view the therapeutic process as an alliance between the client and myself and consider my clients as the experts of their lives. I use a variety of treatment modalities such as Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Client-Centered, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, and other modalities. My theoretical approach is based on the belief that my clients are in control of their therapeutic experience. I look forward to meeting you and working alongside you.
