I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. With over 10 years of clinical experience, I have dedicated my career to providing compassionate care across a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, crisis intervention, mobile crisis assessments, outpatient services, and the Clark County School District (CCSD). Currently, I am in private practice, where I continue to support individuals with empathy and understanding.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of providing both administrative and clinical supervision to UNLV practicum students, CSW-interns, and licensed colleagues, fostering their growth and enhancing their knowledge base. My practice encompasses working with children (ages 5-12), youth, adults, and families.

My commitment to compassion drives my approach, as I strive to alleviate the suffering of those I work with and empower them on their journey toward healing and growth.

My specializations include, but are not limited to treatment of adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, divorce, mood disorders, schizophrenia, trauma, and more.  My passion for learning led me to return to school and currently working on a doctorate degree with emphasis in clinical psychology.  I am invested in always seeking additional clinical skills to add to my toolbox to help all my clients.  What differentiates me from other clinicians in the Vegas valley is that I have an innate ability to establish rapport, build trust, provide genuine compassion, empathetic listener and relate to individuals from all different walks of life.

I am EMDR certified, a Master Practitioner in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.), and trained in Brainspotting, with Phase 2 Brainspotting training ahead. I view the therapeutic process as a collaborative alliance between my clients and myself, always recognizing that my clients are the true experts of their own lives.I utilize a variety of treatment modalities tailored to meet individual needs, including Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Family Systems Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-based approaches. My theoretical approach is grounded in the belief that clients are in control of their therapeutic journey, and I am here to support and guide them along the way. I look forward to meeting you and working alongside you to achieve your goals.

Laura Gutierrez-Nava

LCSW-Intern

As a bilingual mental health professional, I am committed to supporting individuals on their path toward healing, growth, and wholeness. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Nevada State University, with dual minors in Counseling (with a focus in Drug and Addiction Studies) and Criminal Justice.

With over five years of experience in the mental health field, I have worked with individuals having developmental disabilities, community-based interventions for at-risk youth such as Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services, and volunteer work with victims of domestic violence. My clinical journey has evolved from managing residential care settings to providing case management, and currently, delivering behavioral consultation with a trauma-informed and person-centered approach. My work is grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and a deep understanding of the mind, body, and spirit connection that underlies meaningful therapeutic transformation.

Being fluent in both English and Spanish, I integrate cultural awareness into my practice, creating inclusive, affirming spaces where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. I am currently pursuing my licensure as a Clinical Social Worker, with the intention to expand my therapeutic repertoire and continue supporting diverse populations with evidence-based and spiritually integrated care.

I am trained in Brainspotting (BSP), and after April 12, 2026, I will also be trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.). These modalities reflect my dedication to offering cutting-edge, trauma-informed techniques that promote healing and resilience.

I believe in the innate resilience of every person and strive to walk alongside my clients with presence, purpose, and a belief in their capacity to heal.
